Commission on Higher
Education (CHED) and Maritime Industry Authority (MarInA) requires every cadet to have those trainings. Even if your curriculum is 3 - 1 or 2 - 1 - 1, 3 years Schooling and 1 year apprenticeship  or 2 years schooling  - 1 year apprenticeship - 1 year schooling you must need to get those training prior to your apprenticeship.
